Founder, Lawrence Schools

Mr. John Afrane Boateng

Mr. John Afrane Boateng founded Lawrence Schools in 1995 and has managed the institution’s development through various cycles of growth.

He served as the second National Vice President of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools from 2016 to 2020. He was also National President of the Early Childhood Development Centres Association of Ghana from 2008 to 2012.

From 2019 to 2024, he served the Ghana Health Service as Chairman of the Bono Regional Health Committee.

Before founding Lawrence Schools, he worked as Traveling Secretary and Regional Schools’ Coordinator for Scripture Union. He also worked as an Inspector of Taxes with the Internal Revenue Service and Ghana Revenue Authority.

Mr. Afrane Boateng is passionate about preaching the Gospel and raising young people to be productive and responsible members of society.

AB John

John Afrane Boateng (Jnr.) is a real estate developer and valuer with a strong track record in leadership, development and institutional governance. He brings technical expertise and strategic insight to the property and education sectors.

Driven by a passion for responsible stewardship of resources and spreading innovative goodness, he founded Knowhouse Ltd., a development company and startup hub in Ghana.

He worked as a Valuer and Investment Analyst at Kwaadjei Valuation Hub, where he developed expertise in property valuation, investment appraisal, market feasibility research, and property and asset management. His work included valuing property for acquisitions, judicial settlements, negotiations, development and investment projects.

He is a Professional Member of the Valuation and Estate Surveying Division of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and a member of the Africa Real Estate Society (AfRES).

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and an MPhil in Educational Administration and Management from Catholic University, Ghana.

AB John is passionate about youth development, entrepreneurship, private equity investment, and transforming physical and intellectual spaces into opportunities for growth.
